Building buildings is easy but what really matters in life, is building people and relationships.
Woodstone Builders, Inc. was founded in 2003 as a high-end residential home builder. The company and its name have since evolved to become “Woodstone, Inc.”, a strong vertical contractor doing work throughout the United States, led by Paul Meyer (CEO) and Doug Niesen (President).
Doug joined Woodstone in 2006 as an owner and Vice President. He brings 38+ years of experience in all facets of construction projects, developing countless relationships with subcontractors, architects, and suppliers. He leads the charge in Woodstone’s focus on cultivating lasting relationships, which has been instrumental in working with public and private entities, including dozens of Native American tribes and communities.
Paul & Doug met in 2013 after developing a relationship working together on multiple successful projects. This relationship spurred Paul & Doug to collaborate to buy out Woodstone.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, professional engineer, and Tribal member of the White Earth Nation and has over 30 years of diverse construction & executive business management experience. Paul’s belief that “anyone can be successful if they work hard” drives Woodstone Inc. to put in the hard work to achieve success in all aspects of the business.
Today, Woodstone, Inc. continues to thrive and grow under this partnership. The team is passionate about the common goal of helping enrich Native American communities by offering educational opportunities, and training and employment to Tribal Members on all projects. They advocate for Native American members to assume leadership roles to have a positive and lasting impact on the community.
Woodstone, Inc., strives to be the best Native American-owned construction company in the country delivering on its commitment to provide exceptional service and results, and a high-quality product while truly giving back to the Native American communities they serve.
