Woodstone helps MHA Nation promote indigenous food sovereignty in North Dakota

Published October 31, 2024 by Lori Sharbono

Woodstone is constructing a 40-acre, multi-phase project in Parshall, ND on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation to help MHA Nation achieve food sovereignty for its community.

The project includes a 412,000 sq. ft. greenhouse, an administrative building, a raw gas refinery plant and an on-site marketplace. The Greenhouse captures gas from oil wells currently being burned off into the atmosphere and converts it into heat, CO2, and electricity to grow vegetable produce in a self-contained, climate-controlled environment. This initiative extends the growing season year-round, increasing production and reducing harmful effects from flared gas. Read more about it here: https://www.nativegreengrow.com/
