Legendary Waters Resort and Casino
Red Cliff, WI

This facility provides a gaming area of 300 slot machines and eight table games, a 60 seat bar and restaurant, a 24 seat snack bar, an indoor and outdoor pool area, along with an entertainment and conference center with banquets capacity of 300 seats.

Woodstone worked with Great Horse Group and the Owner to ensure that the resort blended with the surroundings as much as possible. The exterior has a cedar-look finish as well as natural wood, stonework, and a log structure at the front canopy.

Being located on the shoreline of Lake Superior created a challenge with winter and snow conditions for foundation work and then framing work. The project progressed at a fast pace and was turned over by August of 2011. This is just 10 months from start of project.

The casino is constructed on the banks of Lake Superior, with the lower level walking out to the tribe’s marina. Lower level is constructed from poured concrete walls and precast plank. It houses much of the back of house functions along with the swimming pool. The main level is structural steel frame with metal stud framing infill. The dining room and bar areas overlook the lake and contain lots of glass. The hotel is wood framed. All rooms have beautiful lake views.
